The 2020 Peaceful Unification Essay and Art drawing contest were executed successfully, instilling the will of unification and interest of young people to this topic. These online essay and art drawing competitions positively contribute to attracted attention to the situation on the Korean Peninsula as well as The potential for South and North Korea to co-host the 2032 summer olympic was also a topic by encouraging youth to learn, search, and ask questions about unification goals and the history of the Korean Peninsula. In a period where youth participation has been difficult especially due to the pandemic, this project was essential to keep the unification message alive. NUAC Hawaii Chapter provided an opportunity to share a broad audience of participation by encouraging families to gather ideas, draw art, and write essays in hopes of discussing unification efforts.
